You can order samples via email by emailing info@stoneoflondon.com or request these from the button on our website and we will post them out to you. No. Stone of London has established contacts with many U.K. and European quarries, suppliers and wholesalers. We are able to source almost any stone as long as it remains commercially quarried in the world today. However, please note that there will be a longer installation time on your order if we have to source the stone and transport it to our factory.
The standard thickness for materials is 20mm or 30mm. Our estimating team will be able to recommend what would suit your requirements if you are unsure of what will work better.
Quartz worktops are approximately 93-95% quartz crystals mixed with a 7-5% balance of colour pigments and bonding agents. The result of this mixture is a technically advanced stone product produced in a broad spectrum of modern and fashionable colours. At Stone of London, we have our own brand of Quartz as well as supplying all the market leading products.
Yes. The more intricate the edge, the higher the cost will be. For instance, a Pencil polished edge is cheaper than a bull-nosed or Mitred Apron edge.
Stone of London mainly work within Hertfordshire, Central London and most of the South East. However, please ask us because we have worked in many counties across the United Kingdom.
The whole process depends on the type of stone you require for your home. If you choose a stone which we have in stock at our factory we normally allow 7-10 working days from the time of template at your home. If you choose a material which has a longer lead time as it is sourced outside of the UK then we may allow 2-3 weeks for installation.
Our scheduler works hard to assist all customers with dates which suit their schedules. However, please note that once your kitchen is booked for installation it can be very problematic for us to change the date or time. All of our jobs are scheduled in advance so changes are not always possible.
Yes. We need you to be there to provide access and to discuss the positioning of joins or other special requirements. Templating can take between 2-4 hours depending on the specification of the job. You need to be on site during installation to ensure that the final product is something that you are happy with. You will be required to sign off your kitchen as complete and that you are satisfied with the work carried out.
Installing and fitting worktops can be a messy business, however we will tidy and clean up when installation is complete. Please be aware that fine dust particles might reside in the air and a fine layer of dust may settle over your worktops for up to 48 hours after installation.
