Stone Tiles and Slabs
Listed here are a small sample of the stones that we can source. We pride ourselves on being able to source any stone from anywhere in the world and all our stone is inspected by us prior to shipping from the quarry. These materials can be provided to you as either slabs for your worktop or as tiles for your walls and floors.

Granite Tiles and Slabs
Granite is an igneous rock, which means that they have been formed from liquid magma deep under the earth’s crust, which has slowly cooled over a long period of time. Granite is a very hard stone, which can take a polish and has a low porosity; it should still be sealed for ease of maintenance. Below is a very small selection of the colours and materials we carry in our granite slabs, granite tiles and granite worktops range.
All stones are available in both tiles and slabs. Slabs generally come up either 20mm or 30mm thick and tiles can be cut to any size you require, including mosaics. Traditional tile sizes are as follows – 305 x 305, 400 x 400, 457 x 457, 600 x 300, 600 x 400 and 600 x 600.
Marble
Stone of London’s marble is only first (best) quality and we ensure this by having our own representative inspect the marble prior to shipping from the quarries. Marble is a metamorphic rock and is the result of extreme heat and pressure applied to limestone. The distinctive crystalline structure allows marble to be polished to a high gloss. Coming in a vast array of colours, with good strength, marble is ideal for use as a floor or wall covering and creates a distinguished classical look that complements every environment. Marble also comes with a honed, antiqued or tumbled finish.

Limestone
A limestone tile is from a sedimentary rock. It is made up of layers of calcium carbonate formed from the accumulation of organic matter in shallow seas, which is then turned to stone by millions of years of pressure. Our limestone tiles come in a variety of density and hardness and some rare limestones are as tough as granite. Below is a very small selection of the limestone tiles and limestone slabs colours and materials we carry. For a full range of products please call us with your requests.

Travertine
Travertine is also a sedimentary rock, which is made up of layers of calcite formed from the accumulation of organic matter in hot springs and spa areas. The stone has a natural honeycomb structure, where water has flowed through the material. It is a very strong stone, which when cut into tiles exposes the small holes on the surface. These holes can be left unfilled to leave a natural texture or they are filled in the factory with a very hard resin and honed smooth. Small holes may appear on the surface of the tiles over time; this is part of the charm of this ancient stone. Below is a very small selection of the colours and materials we carry. Onyx
Onyx is a cryptocrystalline form of quartz. The colours of its bands range from white to almost every colour. Commonly, specimens of onyx available contain bands of colours of white, tan, and brown. Onyx is extremely high end material and very popular in the US market. We hope to establish onyx here in the UK as the next great trend in natural stone.
